Wannsee Conference

Reinhard Heydrich chaired a meeting of fifteen senior Nazi officials and civil servants at a lakeside villa in Wannsee to coordinate the 'Final Solution', the deportation and murder of Europe's Jews. The minutes, of which one copy survived, counted eleven million Jews to be included. Mass killing had already begun, but the meeting drew the state ministries into the plan.
